My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.

Perhaps, a more familiar verse: "Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life." (NIV version of verse 23)
I am holding on, Lord. Guide me in your ways. Keep my heart by yours.
