Yes, I want it THAT way

So while procrastinating from my paper (why did our professor have to give us a federal civil procedure problem?!?!), I go on YouTube of course. Lo and behold what do I find? The Backstreet Boys have a new(ish) album and a new(ish) song: Inconsolable.



Here are my random Backstreet Boys facts:
1. My favorite was Brian. I can hear him on Christian radio sometimes now. hahaha
2. I still know the lyrics to their old songs. I don't think I will ever be able to free my brain of that space. "Quit playing games with my heart..."
3. The youngest Backstreet Boy (Nick Carter) is 28. That's 2 years from 30. That is hecka scary.
4. I've spent many hours recording their songs on tape from the radio. It was an art b/c you had to time it perfectly to get the beginning of the song. I think I still have those somewhere around here...
5. Three of them are married.
6. One day, I'm gonna tell my kids how cool they were and they will laugh in my face.
7. My favorite song is still "As Long As You Love Me."
8. It's sorta strange without Kevin.
9. I think they are now a "manband" instead of a "boyband". Or how about just band?
10. I've actually never gone to one of their concerts. I think I won tickets once on Z95.7 but my mom got mad at me for staying up listening to the radio rather than studying and made me give them up. It was so sad.
11. Now, I have that song stuck in my head. Great.

One fact for each year they've been making music in the U.S. HAHA. Boy, do I NOT want to finish this paper.

Dear 2008,

Hello! We've never met before but it only seems appropriate that I should introduce myself. My name is Alex and I have many questions for you. But really I'm wondering what you will bring me as the new year starts.

Will you give me a good impression of 1L whether it is the learning, the friends, or even the grades?

Perhaps a great quarter-century year filled with things I've never done before?

Or will I be given an amazing chance to further my dreams and aspirations?

I obviously don't know what is going to happen with us but I'm certainly filled with anticipation of all the things to be seen, done and heard. Ultimately, I hope that you and I will create wonderful memories that by the Grace of God proves to be moments of great blessing. So I say "welcome" and I hope you and I will like each other very much.
