So this year, we have a class called Civil Procedure which is essentially about all the things we need to know procedurally in order to bring an appropriate suit in civil court. Our professor, Mr. Paul McKaskle, has been teaching for a really long time and we are his last 1L class. He's retiring as of this week (minus grading our finals) and the school is throwing him and two other retiring profs a farewell party today. However, our class decided to send him off in style tomorrow, our last class with him, with some booze (of course...), a huge card, and some flowers. Now, I have to say, there has been some pretty funny puns written on the card that I though I'd share with you:
"Let's keep in minimum contacts!"
*note: minimum contacts is a way for a court to gain jurisdiction over a party to the suit.
"This is the best class action we've been a part of!"
"You, me and Civ Pro makes three."
"You've been served...(a letter of retirement.)"
Aren't they funny? Or is it just me?

i'm pretty sure i'd call someone a tool if they wrote that on a card for me.
